Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Commemorates Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai’s Urs, Calls for Embracing Sufi Values

Karachi: At the annual Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, stressed the timeless relevance of the revered Sufi poet’s teachings, advocating for a society enriched with love, harmony, and universal brotherhood.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal’s statement was released by the Media Cell Bilawal House, where he elaborated on Bhittai’s influence in shaping societal values of tolerance, inclusivity, and compassion. He emphasized that Bhittai’s poetry and teachings encourage resistance to oppression and promotion of social justice, serving as a beacon for fostering unity across diverse communities.

The PPP Chairman encouraged followers and admirers of Bhittai to reflect on and embody the principles of humility and selflessness preached by the poet. He extended greetings to the people of Sindh and all adherents of Bhittai’s philosophy, underlining the importance of a collective commitment to building a society that reflects the esteemed values of Shah Latif.
