Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Requests Damage Assessment from Sindh Chief Minister Following Severe Rains

Karachi: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has officially requested a detailed report from Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on the extensive damage caused by ongoing rains in the province, along with the current relief efforts to aid affected residents.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the chairman’s call for a report follows significant rainfall that has impacted multiple areas across Sindh, particularly in the divisions of Sukkur and Larkana. The chairman has voiced concerns over the recurrent impacts of climate change on these regions and has directed local officials to expedite rainwater drainage and address infrastructural damages such as the dam breach in Khairpur district.

In his communication, Chairman Bhutto Zardari emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive assessments and immediate relief actions. He has tasked the Department of Relief and Rehabilitation and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority with ensuring effective support and recovery measures are in place. The PPP leader reassured the affected communities of the party’s continued support throughout the recovery process.
