Karachi: As Pakistan marks its 77th Independence Day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), has emphasized his party’s commitment to democracy, constitutionalism, and equality, the foundational principles of the nation as envisioned by its founders.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, Chairman Zardari’s message, delivered through the Media Cell Bilawal House, highlighted the historical context of Pakistan’s struggle for independence and the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He stressed that the 1973 Constitution encapsulates the essence of the Freedom Movement, providing a path forward for unity and progress in the country.
The chairman cited the enduring influence of PPP’s foundational leaders, Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, as guiding principles for the party’s policies. He underscored the need for unity under President Asif Ali Zardari’s vision of reconciliation to address contemporary challenges like inflation, unemployment, poverty, and terrorism.
On this significant national day, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his optimism for a united Pakistan, overcoming obstacles through shared values of democracy and freedom, and extended his best wishes to all Pakistanis for a future marked by prosperity and unity.
