Islamabad: The 10th anniversary of the martyrdom of Hazrat Sakina bint Al Hussain, a pivotal figure in the story of Karbala, commenced this Friday at Jamia Al-Murtaza Ji Nine Four. Organized by Anjaman Dukhtar-i-Islam, Umm Al-Binin WIF, and Sakina Generation and Girls Guide, the event underscores the enduring impact of Hazrat Sakina’s legacy on Islamic history and spiritual life.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Khatiba Syedul Buh Haiderzaidi, daughter of Allama Qamar Haiderzaidi, highlighted Hazrat Sakina’s crucial role in the Karbala narrative during her address at the opening session. She spoke of Hazrat Sakina’s immense sufferings and her profound resilience, which have made her a symbol of resistance and faith in the face of tyranny and oppression.
The anniversary event also featured discussions by scholars Rada Arshad Ali Naqvi and the Zaidi sisters, who reflected on the spiritual and historical significance of Hazrat Sakina’s life and her impact on contemporary interpretations of faith and perseverance under duress.
