Islamabad Commemorates Muharram with Majlis and Procession at Jamia Al-Murtaza

Islamabad: The city marked the 25th of Muharram with a solemn Majlis and a symbolic coffin procession at the central Imam Bargah of Jamia Al-Murtaza, under the guidance of various religious and community organizations. The event, organized to honor the martyrdom of key figures in Shia Islam, was attended by community members and featured prominent speakers who provided spiritual insights and eulogies.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the Majlis-e-Iza, hosted by Umm Al Nain, WWF, Sakina Generation, Girls Guide, and Anjaman Dukhtar Islam, took place on Thursday at 10 am. The session included speeches by Dr. Farzana Naqvi Khattab and Syeda bint Musa Mousavi, with Zakira Tahira Bilqis Bukhari delivering the eulogy. The gathering reflected on the spiritual and historical significance of the events commemorated during Muharram, emphasizing themes of sacrifice and devotion.

The ceremony concluded with the traditional procession of the coffin, symbolizing the mourning and remembrance of the community. This event serves as an important spiritual observance and a time for reflection on the values represented by the martyrs of Karbala.
