Allama Aghasyed Hussain Maqdisi Highlights Ashura’s Significance as Eternal Struggle Against Falsehood

Rawalpindi: In a profound reflection on the Day of Ashura, Allama Aghasyed Hussain Maqdisi, head of Tehreek Nafaze Fiqh Jafaria, emphasized Ashura as a perpetual and everlasting school in the fight against falsehood, underscoring the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) as vital lessons in resilience and righteousness.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Maqdisi in his message detailed the historical context and spiritual significance of Ashura, marking the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in Karbala as a cornerstone for Islamic tenacity. He described the event as a direct confrontation with tyranny, aimed at uplifting Islam and humanity, establishing a legacy of sacrifice that transcends generations and religions. “The tragedy of Karbala is not only a moment of profound sacrifice but also a philosophical guide to understanding the struggle for human dignity and religious truth,” stated Maqdisi.

The Day of Ashura, he reiterated, serves as a reminder and a call to action against oppression, urging the Muslim Ummah and the world at large to draw from Imam Hussain’s example to foster unity and resist divisive forces. Maqdisi also called for a strengthened resolve among the faithful to honor the martyrs of Karbala through continuous remembrance and adherence to their ideals, particularly during the mourning period until 8 Rabi al-Awwal.
