Zone Six Secures Fifth Consecutive Win in PCB Regional Inter-District Under-19 Tournament

Karachi: Zone Six achieved their fifth consecutive victory by defeating Zone Four by 10 wickets in the PCB Regional Inter-District Under-19 (Karachi Region) Cricket Tournament. Zone Four, batting first at KCCA Stadium, was bowled out for 133 runs, with notable contributions from Musab Amir (25 runs), Muhammad Owais (23 runs), and Masood Ali (21 runs). Abdul Mueez claimed 4 wickets for 36 runs, while Haroon Arshad took 2 wickets. In response, Zone Six reached 137 runs without any loss, with M. Abdullah Alam scoring 80 runs and Abdul Rehman Niazi 46 runs, both remaining not out.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, three matches were concluded in the tournament. In the second match at New Zamabad Ground, Zone Seven triumphed over Zone One by 101 runs. Zone Seven posted a total of 229 runs for 9 wickets, led by Syed Kashan Fahim with 72 runs, Saad Khan with 57 runs, Ehtishamul Haq with 30 runs, and Muhammad Umar with 21 runs. Muhammad Asif Farooq, Fawad Akbar, Izmir Rauf, and Kunwar Masood each took 2 wickets. Zone One’s response was limited to 128 runs, with Muhammad Asif Farooq scoring 29 runs and Amanullah 19 runs. Usman bin Arshad’s right-arm spin proved devastating, as he took 7 wickets for 12 runs.

In the third match at UBL Sports Complex, Zone Five defeated Zone Three by 65 runs. Zone Five set a target of 100 runs, with Muhammad Hasan scoring 32 runs. Abdul Hadi took 5 wickets for 13 runs, and Mohammad Suban Sadiq dismissed 4 players for 34 runs. Zone Three’s batting crumbled with Rizwanullah taking 6 wickets for 13 runs, and Mohammad Hazak dismissing 4 players for 21 runs.
