National Textile University Celebrates International Women’s Day with ‘Wujood-e-Zan’ Event

Faisalabad, The Wings Society at the National Textile University commemorated International Women’s Day with the ‘Wujood-e-Zan’ event, featuring a vibrant walkathon that underscored the university’s commitment to women’s rights and empowerment.

According to National Textile University, the event on March 8, 2024, began with an enthusiastic walk led by Ms. Resham Shahzad, Director of Arshad Group, Ms. Nadia Shamim, Assistant Director of Student’s Affairs, Dr. Isma Hamid, Convener of WINGS, alongside faculty members and students. Participants carried banners and advocated for women’s empowerment, signaling a unified step towards advancing gender equality and celebrating the integral contributions of women to both the university and broader society.

The ‘Wujood-e-Zan’ event, sponsored by Arshad Group, extends beyond the walkathon, with two additional days of planned activities including panel discussions and informational stalls. This initiative aims to spark dialogue and engagement on women’s issues, reflecting the ongoing dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all members of the university community.
