NTU Hosts Awareness Session on Safeguarding Religious Sanctity in Social Media

Faisalabad, National Textile University (NTU) observed ‘Youm-e-Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat’, a day dedicated to the prevention of blasphemous material on social media, with an awareness session aimed at educating the youth on this sensitive issue. Held on March 19, 2024, the event featured a talk by Mr. Mansoor Ahmad and an insightful session by NTU Rector Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain, followed by a solidarity walk participated in by the university’s community.

According to National Textile University, the collaboration with the HEC Youth Development Center facilitated an engaging discussion on the preservation of religious respect online. Mr. Ahmad’s address highlighted the significance of responsible social media use, while Prof. Dr. Hussain provided in-depth responses to student inquiries regarding the day’s theme.

The university’s commitment to fostering a respectful online environment was visibly reinforced by the active involvement of students, faculty, and staff in the subsequent walk. This initiative underlines NTU’s proactive approach in uniting its community to uphold religious sanctity on digital platforms, reflecting a collective stance against the dissemination of disrespectful content.
