TNFJ Assures Support to PPP in Upcoming General Elections

Rawalpindi, In a significant political development, the Tehreek Nafaz Fiqh Jafaria (TNFJ) has pledged its support to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the upcoming general elections on February 8. The assurance came during a special meeting between PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and TNFJ head Allama Agha Syed Hussain Muqdisi at the Maktab Shia Ali Masjid headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, accompanied by PPP Secretary General Syed Nayar Hussain Bukhari Advocate, visited the TNFJ headquarters seeking cooperation for the general elections. During the meeting, Zardari emphasized the historical connection between the PPP and TNFJ, recalling the ties between his mother, the late Benazir Bhutto, and Quaid Millat Jafaria Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Mousavi. He highlighted the TNFJ’s commitment to promoting unity, solidarity, and the struggle against dictatorship, values resonating with the PPP’s principles.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari acknowledged the TNFJ’s policy of abstaining from sectarian, linguistic, and group-based politics, recognizing their stand as beneficial for the country and nation. He also received the Naday Millat Charter from Muqdisi, which contained TNFJ’s demands, including concerns over controversial legislation. Zardari assured that these demands would be implemented.

The meeting was also attended by key TNFJ figures including Chairman Political Cell Zulfikar Ali Raja, Secretary General Allama Basharat Hussain Emami, Central Secretary Information Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi, and Central Secretary Public Relations Syed Hassan Kazmi.

Following the meeting, both party heads addressed the media, officially announcing TNFJ’s decision to support the PPP in the forthcoming elections. This alliance marks a strategic move in the political landscape, potentially influencing the outcome of the elections and the future direction of Pakistani politics.
