Asif Ali Zardari Extends New Year Greetings, Emphasizes Peace and Development

Karachi, As the world ushers in 2024, former President of Pakistan and President of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari, extended his New Year greetings to the nation, with a message focusing on peace, development, and prosperity.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, in his New Year address, Zardari expressed concern over the current global and regional issues. He noted the impact of the ongoing crisis in Gaza and the plight of people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, stating that these conflicts have overshadowed the joy of the New Year. He emphasized the need to combat all forms of extremism and intolerance to achieve peace and development.

Zardari also highlighted the challenges faced by Pakistan, including the impacts of climate change, unemployment, and inflation, which have significantly affected the lives of its citizens. He mentioned that the Pakistan Peoples Party is gearing up for the upcoming elections on February 8, 2024, and is ready to present its case to the people.

He expressed confidence in the ten-point manifesto of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, describing it as a significant step towards the country’s development and the prosperity of its people. Zardari hoped that 2024 would be a year marked by peace, harmony, and blessings, particularly for Pakistan.

Further, Zardari acknowledged the efforts of the Pakistan Army, police officers, and soldiers in restoring peace in the country. He reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to its manifesto, aiming to address issues like hunger, unemployment, inflation, and economic challenges, and expressed hope for the party’s success in the upcoming elections.
