Lahore, The Punjab University Club recently hosted a vibrant family food festival, offering a lively and entertaining environment for teachers, staff, and their families. The event took place on the club’s lawns, featuring an array of food and various other stalls.
According to University of the Punjab, the festival’s inaugural ceremony was attended by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Dean Faculty of Economics, Business and Administrative Sciences Professor Dr. Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry, Chairman Club Committee Dr. Munawar Iqbal, along with a significant number of teachers, officers, families, and children.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmood, speaking at the event, highlighted the festival’s objective to provide an enjoyable atmosphere for faculty members and their families. He noted that the event was a great opportunity for teachers’ families and children to interact and socialize. He also commended the efforts made by the teachers in enhancing the club’s offerings, promising further improvements to the quality of facilities at the University Club.
Dr. Munawar Iqbal pointed out that the festival offered high-quality food at reasonable prices, along with free entertainment options like jumping castles and trampolines for children, underscoring the club’s role as an excellent social space for teachers outside their professional setting.
The event was well-received, with teachers expressing gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the Management Committee for organizing such a recreational opportunity. The Vice-Chancellor and other dignitaries also took the time to visit various stalls, enjoying the diverse offerings of the festival.
