Karachi, In a significant development for Liaquatabad Town, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, inaugurated newly beautified parks, including Purda Park Liaquatabad and Muhammadi Sports Complex. The event marked a key milestone in the ongoing efforts to revitalize the town, which had faced neglect and deterioration for a long time. Liaquatabad Town Chairman Faraz Haseeb and other local officials were present at the inauguration, signaling a collaborative effort in the town’s development.
According to Jamaat-E-Islami Pakistan, the inauguration of these parks is part of a broader initiative to revive Liaquatabad, addressing longstanding issues such as waste management and the degradation of public spaces. Hafiz Naeemur Rahman pointed out that until recently, the town’s construction and development had been almost stagnant, with many parks in ruins. He commended the efforts of the local team, led by Vice Chairman Ishaq Taimuri and Faraz Haseeb, for their diligent work following the recent budget approval.
Rahman emphasized that despite limited powers and challenges in departments such as solid waste management and water and sewage, the local leadership is committed to exceeding their authority to fulfill their promises to the people of Karachi. The event also highlighted Jamaat-e-Islami’s pledge to address outstanding media house bills and prioritize clearing all dues as part of its commitment to the community.
The revitalization of Liaquatabad Town, especially the focus on green spaces and public amenities, reflects a positive step towards enhancing the quality of life for residents and addressing urban challenges. This initiative is seen as a model for other towns facing similar issues, demonstrating the impact of local governance and community-focused development.
