Sukkur, Ziauddin College of Rehabilitation Sciences (ZCRS) at Ziauddin University’s Sukkur campus commemorated World Physical Therapy Day on October 21st, 2023, with a series of enlightening lectures and activities. The event was marked by the participation of renowned guest speakers and engaging sessions focused on physical therapy and health management.
According to Ziauddin University, the celebration featured Dr. Haresh Kumar Makhija, who delivered a lecture titled “From Tension to Tranquility: A Guide to Stress Management.” Dr. Makhija addressed contemporary stress factors affecting the new generation and offered insights into effective coping strategies. Additionally, Dr. Mir Arif Hussain Talpur provided an expert lecture on arthritis prevention and management, aligning with the theme of World Physical Therapy Day.
The Vice Principal of ZCRS, ZU Sukkur campus, Dr. Muhammad Usman Khan, commended the efforts of the students in organizing the event and expressed gratitude to Dr. Makhija and Dr. Talpur for their valuable contributions. Their expertise played a significant role in making the day’s celebration both educational and memorable.
The event also included a group photograph to capture the occasion, a food festival, and a cake-cutting ceremony, emphasizing the day’s spirit of knowledge sharing, camaraderie, and enjoyment. In addition, the university announced the opening of admissions for the fourth batch of its five-year Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Ziauddin College of Rehabilitation Sciences, known for its commitment to providing quality education in the field.
