LAHORE: Punjab University has conferred PhD degrees on five scholars across various academic disciplines. The recipients include Fozia Hayat in Applied Psychology, Shahida Hussain in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Maddasra Mahmood in Pakistan Studies, Abdulhamid Mpoza in Communication Studies, and Muhammad Naeem in Chemistry.
According to University of the Punjab, the degrees were awarded following the completion of rigorous research and academic requirements. The scholars have each contributed to their fields of study, with research topics ranging from psychological applications to genetic studies and beyond.
