Peshawar, The University of Peshawar has opened applications for various faculty positions in its Department of Seerat Studies, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. These positions aim to enhance the academic and research capabilities in the field of Seerat Studies at the university.
According to University of Peshawar, the position of Professor of Seerat Studies (BPS-21) requires a Ph.D. in Seerat Studies or a relevant field from an HEC recognized university. The candidate must have 15 years of teaching or research experience or professional experience in a relevant field in a national or international organization, with a minimum of 15 research publications. For the Associate Professor role (BPS-20), applicants must have a Ph.D. in a related field, 10 years of relevant experience, and at least 10 research publications.
The Assistant Professor of Seerat Studies (BPS-19) position also demands a Ph.D. in Seerat Studies or a relevant field. Candidates for all positions must submit an application form, copies of credentials, experience certificates, and a bank receipt of specified amounts depending on the position applied for. The application deadline is December 26, 2023. Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide an equivalence certificate from the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.
For the Professor and Associate Professor positions, additional requirements include four copies of a list of research publications, reprints of publications, complete bio-data, and an additional bank receipt.
In-service candidates are advised to apply through proper channels and obtain No Objection Certificates from their departments.
