DIG Operations Islamabad Delivers Awareness Lecture at IIUI on Criminality, Extremism, and Narcotics

Islamabad, The Directorate of Students Affairs and Chief Security Office at International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) recently organized an awareness lecture on “Criminality, Extremism and Narcotics”. The event, held separately at the faculty block auditoriums of the male and female campuses, featured Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, Capital Police Officer (CPO) / Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Operations, Islamabad, as the speaker.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari addressed students, employees, and teachers during the lecture. He highlighted the special awareness campaign launched by the Islamabad police to protect the youth from the dangers of drug abuse. Emphasizing the importance of this initiative, he stated that it is a prime responsibility to shield the youth, particularly in educational institutions, from the detrimental effects of drugs.

The awareness lecture, conducted under the special directions of the Chief City Police Officer (CCPO) of Islamabad, was attended by Brigadier (Retired) Muhammad Saleem Khan, the Security Consultant of IIUI, along with the Students Advisors (Male and Female) of the university. A significant number of faculty members, male and female students, and university employees from the New Campus also participated in the event.

The initiative reflects a concerted effort by IIUI and the Islamabad police to educate and inform the university community about the risks associated with criminality, extremism, and narcotics. The event is part of a broader campaign aimed at safeguarding the well-being and future of the youth by promoting awareness and prevention strategies in the context of these critical societal issues.
