Islamabad, Imam e Kaaba, H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, met with the President of Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi, at Aiwan-e-Sadr. The meeting, attended by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Nawaf Said Almalki, Caretaker Minister for Education, Madad Ali Sindhi, and President of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, focused on various issues including the situation in Gaza, Islamophobia, and challenges facing the Islamic world.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for a peaceful resolution of the Palestine issue, advocating a two-state solution. He welcomed Imam e Kaaba and highlighted the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, based on common faith, shared history, and people-to-people contacts.
Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Humaid emphasized the need for a unified stance by the Muslim world on the Palestine issue, advocating for the rights of Palestinians and joint efforts to end violence and atrocities in Palestine. President Alvi appreciated Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting important Muslim causes and stressed the importance of unity and solidarity among Muslim nations.
Imam e Kaaba is in Islamabad to attend the fourth international conference on the protection of human life in Shariah and law, jointly organized by the International Islamic University Islamabad and the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Jeddah.
