Lahore, The Government College University (GCU) Lahore, in a significant act of unity, witnessed its entire student body, faculty, and administration come together to protest the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict. Expressing strong solidarity with the Palestinian people, participants condemned the acts of violence, particularly emphasizing the recent attack on Al-Ahli Baptist hospital.
According to a news release by GC University Lahore, The Vice Chancellor, who led the demonstration, pointed out the grave circumstances in Gaza. He specifically mentioned the recent bombings, which tragically impacted innocent refugees, volunteers, and paramedical staff. The Vice Chancellor labeled such actions as a blatant disregard for human rights, urging for prompt international intervention.
Taking a step further to amplify global consciousness about the issue and to maintain steady support for Palestine, GC University Lahore has initiated a daily Protest Walk. This daily event, scheduled at 11 am at the university’s premises, aims to offer a peaceful avenue for individuals to express their concerns and push for a cessation of the violence affecting the Palestinian population.
