Islamabad, May 06, 2023 (PPI-OT): Ms. Shazia Marri, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety (PA and SS), Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and Spokesperson Pakistan People’s Party (Parliamentarian) said that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has aptly represented Pakistan at Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Conference with the demeanor of a seasoned diplomat and statesman. Ms. Marri express her views through a press statement of Saturday afternoon.
The Minister said that during the meeting Pakistan’s foreign Minister unequivocally stated that Pakistan has been the worst victim of terrorism and this could be curbed through joint and concerted and collective measures only. Our foreign Minister also unscored that atrocity meted out the Muslim community in India. She noted that Indian foreign minister’s post conference press conference was a reflection of narrowmindedness of the Indian political leadership and said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which guarantees regional connective is like sour in the eyes of India.
Ms. Marri expressing her disappointment on India’s attitude said that India Foreign Minister as a host of the conference, should have put up a mature face but unfortunately, he could not do so. Indian foreign minister’s press conference was mainly targeted to appease the extremist of RSS, she continued.
She emphasized that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted Kashmir Cause during his stay in India and termed Kalboshan Yadav as terrorist while PTI leadership has been advocating his presence in Pakistan. He would have released him as well as he released Indian pilot Abhinandan in 2019. She further noted that by criticizing Bilawal Bhutto’s participation in SCO Conference in Goa Imran Khan Niazi has expressed solidarity with Modi. ‘BJP and PTI are equally perturbed due to Pakistan’s participation in SCO Conference’, she concluded.
