Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a one-day workshop on course of Arabic for Understanding Quran 

Bahawalpur, December 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Department of Translation Studies, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur organized a one-day workshop on course of Arabic for Understanding Quran. The workshop was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob. In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor said that Muslims had successfully brought the message of Islam to Europe and China in the first century.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur made Quran comprehension course as a part of the curriculum so that leadership can be developed among the youth. The Vice-Chancellor praised Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning and Chairman Department of Translation Studies Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq Ur Rahman for the successful conduct of the Arabic for Understanding the Qur’an course.

Dean Faculty of Islamic Learning Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq Ur Rahman introduced the department and informed the participants about the Arabic course for understanding the Qur’an, which has been going on for the past one year. He also informed the participants about the “Surat ul Quran Forum” approved by the university.

On this occasion, the founder and chairman of Character Education Foundation Mahmood Ahmed thanked the Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob and Dean, Prof. Dr. Sheikh Shafiq ur Rahman for inviting the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and informed the Vice Chancellor and other guests about the introduction of their institution and the book compiled according to the university curriculum.

It is important to share that on direction of Vice Chancellor Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Arabic for Quran comprehension course was organized three years ago for BS students. Former Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, with the support of Character Education Foundation, has prepared Arabic for Quran comprehension course for BS students of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur the first year of which has been completed.

Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s message on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

Karachi, December 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s concepts of democracy, equality, adherence to the constitution and the rule of law as a beacon of light. Today, there is a need to review the national situation and in the light of the political principles and vision of the father of the nation, to discourage false ego, selfishness and hatred from the country’s politics.

According to a statement issued by Media Cell Bilawal Hawass, PPP Chairman in his message on the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah has congratulated all Pakistanis on the 146th birthday of the Father of the Nation. He said that the best way to pay homage to Quaid-i-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is to follow his constitution and rule of law and work with selfless service and dedication to the country.

He said that People’s Leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Ms. Benazir Bhutto taught us to fight for political rights and serve the nation in the light of the ideology and vision of the Father of the Nation. He pointed out that on behalf of the PPP leadership, to strengthen the Prime Minister’s Pakistan, the Constituent Constitution of 1973, agrarian reforms, nuclear program, missile technology, anti-polio measures, Lady Health Workers Plan, Eighteenth Amendment, NF C Award, and Unparalleled Income Support

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan is still following the foreign policy of its founder, Quaid-e-Azam, that we seek friendship with all and do not have unwanted ambitions against any country, but suffer from oppression according to the United Nations Charter. He will never avoid the moral and diplomatic support of nations.

In his message, the PPP Chairman also reiterated his determination that the Pakistan People’s Party will continue its struggle to strengthen democracy, rule of law and respect for human rights in accordance with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

IHHN celebrates IHOPE’S 20th batch of volunteers

Karachi, December 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Indus Hospital and Health Network (IHHN) celebrated iHope Volunteer Program’s 20th batch of volunteers in December 2022. Participants included students from various prestigious schools in Karachi including Generation School, The Indus Academy, Haque Academy, and The City School.

During the program, the students were divided into four groups – Rescuers, Healers, Protectors, and Helpers – and took part in various activities including, ward visits, art therapy, Voices against Tobacco (VAT), CPR and fire-fighting training. Apart from this, the students also attended several informative talks on art, empathy, career growth, social media, and the climate. The respected speakers included, Shakeel Akhtar, Chief Information Office, IT, IHHN; Dr. Zafar Zaidi, CEO of IHHN; Umer Adil, Sardar, and Ahmed Shabbar.

On the last day of the volunteer program, a closing ceremony was conducted to honor the students for their community service and to encourage them to stay life-long supporters of IHHN’s Indus Yaqeen program. Each group gave a presentation show-casing their experience interacting with the patients at IHHN and the activities they engaged in.

One of the students from the generation school narrated her eye-opening experience volunteering at IHHN. “When Dr. Abdul Bari visited our school to give a talk to us students, I couldn’t believe that a hospital like Indus exists.

How did he and his team turn this amazing dream into an almost unbelievable reality? Sitting in the audience, I decided there and then that I had to visit Indus Hospital at least once in my life. After volunteering here through IHHN’s iHope program, I was shook to the core. I sincerely hope that this (iHope) is just the beginning of my journey with Indus.”

Following the presentations, short speeches were given by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, and Mashood Rizvi, Executive Director, Communication and Resource Directorate, IHHN. They urged the students to maintain their relationship with Indus and become life-long supporters of the Network’s noble cause.

Dr. Abdul Bari Khan went on to say, “The dream of IHHN was seen in 1987 and became a reality in 2007. You can see how far we have journeyed since then. Throughout it all I always hoped that the youth of Pakistan – our country’s future – would be part of our growth. I urge all you students to dream big. Think, act with good intentions, and make your visions a reality.”

At the end of the ceremony, the students were presented with certificates by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, Mashood Rizvi, Shakkel Akhtar, and Dr. Muhammad Amin Chinoy, Executive Director, Physical Rehabilitation Directorate, IHHN.

The iHope Volunteer Program falls under the banner of Indus Yaqeen – a unique platform for the youth of Pakistan to empower them to shape the society we live in. In the iHope Program, students are given the opportunity to develop their leadership and problem-solving skills and learn invaluable life-long lessons of empathy and compassion. IHHN has been arranging this volunteer program since 2015.

The 20th batch of iHope volunteers will join the program’s alumni network and become the leaders, torchbearers, and change-makers of Indus Hospital and Health Network.

A legal notice has been sent to the channel and its representatives for running fake news against the IUB

Bahawalpur, December 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):The spokesperson of Islamia University Bahawalpur has said that some miscreants afraid of the development of the university are presenting unauthenticated documents in their own style to give the impression that some kind of action has been started against the university leadership.

First of all, these documents are yet to be researched because the practice of making fake documents is common nowadays. And people very easily create and upload arbitrary documents on social media just to pour their heart out. In this way, they get temporary happiness, but their lies, machinations and delusions are all exposed. Lies do not lie and these documents have also been aired on a news channel by revealing a huge corruption scandal against which the university legal team has started legal proceedings.

A legal notice has been sent to the concerned channel and its representatives. Similarly, on December 8 by playing a fake video, the local representatives and Legal notices have also been sent to the channel. The spokesman has said that the sanctity of a great educational institution like Islamia University will not be allowed to be violated and these mentally ill elements will be held accountable against thousands of teachers, employees and students.

President Asif Ali Zardari’s message on Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary 

Karachi, December 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Former President of Pakistan and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians, Asif Ali Zardari on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah said that the PPP is steadfast on its resolve to make Pakistan a democratic and welfare state. The former president said that the founder of Pakistan was a democrat and an enlightened leader who advocated for human and religious freedom.

Asif Ali Zardari said that the PPP will continue to defend freedom of expression and political and religious liberty in the country founded by Quaid-e-Azam. President Zardari said that the 1973 constitution given by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is a guarantee of stability of the country. He said that efforts are being made to impose a certain ideology in the country in the guise of religion, which is contrary to the philosophy of Quaid-e-Azam and cannot be allowed under any circumstances.
