14% of Pakistanis in August 2021 reported to have reduced the number or size of meals for some household members to cover their basic household needs: Gallup and Gilani Pakistan

Islamabad, October 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):According to a survey conducted by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 14% of Pakistanis in August 2021 reported to have reduced the number or size of meals for some household members to cover their basic household needs.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “In the past 7 days, did you ‘reduce the number or size of meals for some household members’ to cover your household’s basic needs? (Only reporting percentage of people who agreed).” In response to this question, 14% of people in August 2021 agreed that they have reduced the number or size of meals for some household members to cover their basic household needs.
