Islamabad: The Spokesperson to the President has clarified that President Asif Ali Zardari's recent travel abroad was a private visit, with all expenses being personally covered by the President himself. This statement comes amidst media reports speculating on the nature and funding of the trip.

According to Pakistan Peoples Party, the aircraft used for the journey was privately chartered by President Zardari. The costs associated with the aircraft, including crew, parking, and stay, in addition to other related expenses, were all paid for by him.
