Islamabad: The Islamic Research Institute (IRI) at the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI), marked a significant milestone on Tuesday as it awarded postdoctoral certificates to 100 scholars during a ceremony held at the Allama Iqbal Auditorium, Faisal Masjid Campus. This event celebrated the successful completion of the 2024-2025 Postdoctoral Fellowship Session, underscoring the participants' academic and research achievements across a range of disciplines.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the ceremony attracted notable figures in academia, including scholars, university officials, and researchers from across Pakistan. The Chief Guest, Honourable Wajiha Qamar, State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, lauded the contributions of IIUI and IRI in advancing higher education. She emphasized the critical role of postdoctoral research in fostering national development and shaping policy and educational leadership.

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Al Alahmed, President & Acting Rector of IIUI, expressed his congratulations to the fellows for their accomplishments and reiterated the university's commitment to promoting world-class academic research. He also extended thanks to the guests, faculty, and organizers for their contributions to the event's success.

Dr. Allama Muhammad Raghib Hussain Naeemi, Chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology and Guest of Honour, praised the scholars for their intellectual contributions to modern Islamic studies. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, Vice Chancellor of the University of Narowal, in his keynote address, highlighted the important role postdoctoral research plays in addressing societal challenges and enhancing academic structures.

The event concluded with the formal awarding of certificates to the scholars, followed by a group photograph and luncheon.
