LAHORE: AI's integration into education is crucial, declared Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali during a recent event. He emphasized the importance of the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) by faculty to align with current educational advancements. This statement was made at a certificate distribution ceremony for faculty members who completed a workshop on ethical AI use.

According to the University of the Punjab, the event was organized by the Skill Development Centre (SDC) and focused on the ethical and effective application of AI in academia. Prof Dr Muhammad Ali praised the SDC's efforts in offering essential training for educators. He noted the Higher Education Commission's inclusion of AI in various academic programs, underscoring the need for digital proficiency among educators. Director of SDC, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Imtiaz Shafiq, commended the Vice Chancellor's leadership and commitment to faculty development. Faculty participants acknowledged the workshop's positive impact on their teaching and research methodologies. Certificates were distributed to attendees by the Vice Chancellor.
