Zone Six and Zone Seven Whites Advance to Finals in AS Natural Stone Under-19 Cricket Tournament


Karachi, The AS Natural Stone Under-19 Interzonal Cricket Tournament, a collaboration between the Regional Cricket Association Karachi and AS Natural Stone, has reached its climax as Zone Six Whites and Zone Seven Whites emerged victorious in their respective semi-finals, securing their spots in the final. These matches showcased the young talent within the city’s cricketing circles, with both teams displaying superior skills and strategy to overcome their opponents.



According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the first semi-final at KCCA Stadium saw Zone Six Whites achieving a convincing win over Zone Two Whites by 9 wickets. Zone Two Whites, batting first, were restricted to a total of 138 runs within 1.44 overs, a target that was easily chased down by Zone Six Whites in just 21 overs for the loss of one wicket. Key performances included Abdul Rahman Niazi’s unbeaten 60 off 3 balls and Abdul Moeez’s economical bowling, taking 4 wickets for 19 runs.



The second semi-final was held at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground, where Zone Seven Whites defeated Zone Four Whites by 7 wickets in what was described as a one-sided match. Zone Four Whites set a target of 143 runs, which was efficiently chased by Zone Seven Whites in 1.18 overs with three wickets in hand. Kashan Fahim’s unbeaten 54 and effective bowling by Rohail Nissa and Kashan Faheem, who both took 2 wickets each, were instrumental in their team’s victory.



These semi-final matches not only highlighted the emerging cricket talents in Karachi but also set the stage for an anticipated final between Zone Six Whites and Zone Seven Whites.
