According to International Cricket Council, the matches offered a glimpse into the potential contenders for the upcoming tournament.

In Namibia, the West Indies showcased their prowess with a commanding 229-run victory over Japan at the United Cricket Club Ground, Windhoek. Electing to bat first, West Indies posted an imposing 346, spearheaded by Tanez Francis's unbeaten 122 and Shamar Apple's explosive 124 from 65 balls. Japan struggled in their chase, with R'Jai Gittens dismantling their top order, ending the innings at 117.

Meanwhile, at the Wanderers Cricket Ground, Windhoek, Tanzania achieved a thrilling one-wicket win against Ireland. Ireland, after opting to bat, was dismissed for 197, with Khalidy Juma claiming five wickets. Tanzania's chase was precarious at 21/6 but resilient knocks from Simba Mbaki and Abdulazak Mohamedi guided them to a narrow victory, reaching their target with one wicket remaining.

In Zimbabwe, Pakistan secured a 69-run win against the USA at the Bulawayo Athletic Club, Bulawayo. Pakistan's innings were bolstered by a 105-run opening stand before Sameer Minhas retired hurt on 74. Despite a few quick wickets, Pakistan posted 294, with Ali Hasan Baloch contributing significantly. The USA's chase faltered as Pakistan's bowlers struck decisively, with Ahmad Hussain sealing the win by claiming the final wicket.

The match between Scotland and Bangladesh at the Prince Edward School Ground, Harare, was affected by rain. Bangladesh set a revised target of 176 in 22 overs, but Scotland's innings were thwarted by further rain interruptions, leading to an abandonment.
