Wah: A two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) renewal between Wah Engineering College, University of Wah, and the Government College of Technology Taxila (TEVTA) was signed on May 14, 2026, aiming to bolster academic cooperation and promote collaborative initiatives between the institutions.
According to University of Wah, the agreement focuses on several key areas of cooperation, including the exchange and professional training of technical personnel, sharing of research materials, and providing tuition fee waivers by Wah Engineering College for qualified nominees and graduates of Government College of Technology Taxila. The MoU also includes training and awareness sessions regarding admission entry tests at Wah Engineering College and formal recognition of the college as a collaborative partner and scholarship provider on the official website of Government College of Technology Taxila.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Adnan Tariq, Principal of Wah Engineering College, and Engr. Naveed Buzdar, Principal of Government College of Technology Taxila. During the ceremony, the Principal of Government College of Technology Taxila emphasized the significant enrollment of students in Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering, while the Dean of Engineering at University of Wah highlighted the importance of motivating students to pursue higher education opportunities.
Discussions during the event also addressed student support and professional development. Representatives from Government College of Technology Taxila requested career counseling sessions for their students, and Prof. Dr. Adnan Tariq, along with Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director of ORIC, proposed that faculty members from Wah Engineering College conduct specialized lectures and technical sessions for the students.
The Director of ORIC welcomed the students from Government College of Technology Taxila and assured them of continued guidance and support in their pursuit of higher education. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the Dean of Engineering, who expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of all participants.
