University of Wah and Hebei International Studies University Forge Academic Partnership


Wah: University of Wah has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hebei International Studies University, marking a step toward strengthening international academic collaboration and promoting global educational standards. The agreement, signed on May 14, 2026, was formalized by Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Wah, and Academician Sun Jianzhong, President of Hebei International Studies University, China.



According to University of Wah, the partnership aims to foster mutual understanding, educational cooperation, and cultural exchange. The five-year agreement outlines collaboration in several academic disciplines, including English Language and Literature, Computer Science and Information Technology, Education and Psychology, and Business Studies and Engineering. The MoU includes initiatives such as student and faculty exchange programs, joint academic and research projects, cultural exchange activities, and resource sharing.



During the event, Academician Sun Jianzhong acknowledged the partnership as a new era of friendship and academic collaboration between Pakistan and China. He extended an invitation to the leadership and students of UW to visit HISU and committed to ensuring an active collaboration. Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi highlighted the longstanding relations between the two countries and praised the efforts of those involved in facilitating the agreement. He noted the Higher Education Commission’s support for dual degree programs with international partners.



The Vice Chancellor emphasized the potential for joint academic collaborations and invited President Sun Jianzhong to visit the University of Wah. As a gesture of goodwill, he announced fully funded scholarships for two HISU students, covering tuition, boarding, and meals. The partnership reflects the University of Wah’s dedication to internationalization and meaningful global partnerships.
