University of Wah Hosts Workshop on 75 Years of China-Pakistan Relations

Wah: A workshop titled "75 Years of China-Pakistan Bilateral Relations: Wars, Global Warming, and Human Health" was organized by the University of Wah on May 4, 2026, attracting over 400 participants from various sectors. The event, part of the Chief Minister of Punjab's Female Ambassador Program, aimed to foster gender-inclusive participation in academia and development.

According to University of Wah, the workshop was conducted under the CPEC Consortium of Universities in collaboration with the Women Development Department, Government of Punjab. It featured Prof. Dr. Shujaul Mulk Khan from Quaid-i-Azam University as the keynote speaker. Dr. Khan discussed the historical and ongoing strategic cooperation between China and Pakistan, emphasizing economic collaboration through CPEC, academic exchanges, and scientific partnerships.

Participants engaged in discussions on the impact of wars on climate change and human health, highlighting issues such as pollution, ecological degradation, and the need for sustainable policies. The workshop concluded with commitments to enhance Pakistan-China relations, focusing on peace, environmental sustainability, and inclusive growth. Organizers and participants expressed gratitude to the Government of Punjab's Women Development Department and the University leadership for supporting such initiatives.
