University of the Punjab to Host Seminar on Environmental Impacts of CPEC

Lahore, The Centre for South Asian Studies at the University of the Punjab is set to host an international seminar on the environmental and societal impacts of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The event, featuring guest speakers from Estonia and Poland, is scheduled for May 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

According to University of the Punjab, the seminar titled “CPEC’s Environmental Toll: Implications on the Society” will include presentations by Dr. Agnieszka Niza Makowska from the University of Tartu, Estonia, and Dr. Kerry Longhurst from the Institute of Politics and International Relations at Collegium Civitas, Poland. The seminar aims to discuss and analyze the broader environmental and social repercussions associated with the ongoing development projects under CPEC.
