University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor Visits China to Enhance Academic Ties

Beijing: The Vice Chancellor of the University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas, has embarked on a significant visit to China, targeting the bolstering of academic collaboration with leading Chinese universities. The visit underscores a commitment to advance educational and research partnerships between the two nations.

During his visit, Prof. Dr. Abbas participated in the 2025 SCO Digital Economy Forum, a pivotal event for discussing digital advancements in education and research. On the sidelines, he engaged in a focused meeting with Prof. Dr. Chen Yulu, President of Nankai University, one of China’s prestigious higher education institutions.

The discussion between the two academic leaders centered on potential collaborative endeavors, such as joint research projects, digital education initiatives, and exchange programs for faculty and students. An Intent of Cooperation was signed, laying the groundwork for future endeavors and formalizing the prospective cooperation between the universities.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of souvenirs, symbolizing the mutual interest in fostering enduring academic relationships. Prof. Dr. Ijaz Asghar Bhatti, the Director of External Linkages at the University of Sargodha, was also present, further emphasizing the university’s dedication to international collaboration.
