Faisalabad, In an initiative to address the pressing business challenges in Pakistan, The University of Faisalabad conducted a seminar for Management Sciences students. The seminar featured prominent figures from the corporate sector, including Ms. Beena Fawad from Bank Alfalah Ltd, who brought over two decades of experience to the discussion.
According to The University of Faisalabad, the seminar was graced by Ms. Beena Fawad, Head of Corporate Credit Risk at Bank Alfalah Ltd, along with Mr. Muhammad Haider Amin, Chairman BOG, Mr. Qadir Shahid, Team Leader Corporate Banking, Mr. Hassan Nazir, Area Manager, Corporate Credit Risk Bank Alfalah Ltd, and Ms. Zahida Maqbool, Registrar of the university. The event focused on enlightening students about the current economic climate and the hurdles faced by businesses in Pakistan.
The keynote speaker, Ms. Fawad, addressed the intricacies of risk management within the Pakistani context, discussing significant challenges such as elevated interest rates, cautious policies, and rising costs of utilities. She emphasized the imperative for young people to understand and engage with these economic conditions to contribute to the nation’s development.
Mr. Muhammad Haider Amin highlighted the vital role of youth in the economic growth of Pakistan and stressed the importance of their active involvement in the marketplace after graduation. He also touched on the issue of brain drain, advocating for strategies to retain talent within the country.
Mr. Qadir Shahid and Mr. Hassan Nazir contributed their insights regarding the corporate sector’s challenges and opportunities, underscoring the transformative impact that the youth can have in this realm.
The seminar concluded with the Chairman BOG and the Registrar presenting mementos to the guests in recognition of their invaluable input during the event.
