Karachi: Syed Aman Shah, Provincial Convener of the Awaam Pakistan Party in Balochistan, has expressed significant concern over escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, labeling the conflict a substantial threat to global peace. He emphasized that Pakistan, given its strategic location, should navigate the situation with caution and prioritize its national interests.
Shah highlighted that the ongoing hostilities between Israel and Iran could extend beyond the two nations, potentially impacting the entire region and the world. He advocated for Pakistan to adopt a foreign policy rooted in neutrality and peace, steering clear of external influences.
He warned against the dangers of allowing foreign or regional powers to dictate Pakistan’s foreign policy, citing past alliances that have proven costly. Shah stressed the importance of Pakistan’s active role in mediating among Islamic countries, urging for a balanced and effective diplomatic approach.
Acknowledging Iran as a brotherly Islamic nation and noting the discomfort caused by Israel’s actions in the region, Shah advised a wise, prudent approach for Pakistan to protect its interests and maintain its global reputation as a peaceful state.
Shah urged the government to develop a comprehensive foreign policy with parliamentary consultation, focusing on national security, economic stability, and regional harmony. He also appealed to the international community, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to act swiftly in reducing Israel-Iran tensions to prevent further conflict.
Shah concluded by emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to peace, urging that this message be conveyed to global powers urgently.
