Rawalpindi: In a potent address during the Majlis-e-Bamar (AS) in Karbala, Allama Agha Syed Hussain Maqdisi, head of Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqah-e-Jafria (TNFJ) Pakistan, condemned what he described as the worst forms of terrorism in Pakistan, perpetrated by eternal enemies both domestic and international. He asserted that these forces are primarily aimed at undermining the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), urging a robust response to any entities operating under banned names.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, Allama Maqdisi criticized the government’s standard operating procedures that restrict religious gatherings, describing them as an infringement on the mourning practices of Imam Hussain (AS), which he declared non-negotiable. He called for the continuation of these gatherings through 8 Rabi Awwal despite challenges.
The leader highlighted the silence of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) as particularly troubling in the face of ongoing assaults on Muslim countries by world powers and their allies. He stressed the necessity for Muslim unity and proactive policy revisions to effectively counteract what he perceives as American economic strategies against Pakistan. He also commemorated the endurance of Hazrat Imam Zainul Abedin (a.s.) during his persecution, drawing parallels to the resilience required of Muslims today.
Allama Maqdisi’s speech also marked the announcement of a commemoration for Shaheedah Zindan, celebrating the legacy of Hazrat Sakina bint Al Hussain from 27 Muharram to 6 Safar, and reiterated the historical narrative of resistance against oppression, symbolized by the enduring legacy of Imam Hussain (a.s.) against the tyranny of Yazid.
