Lahore, January 24, 2023 (PPI-OT):University of Education, Lahore organized an unusual seminar on World Education Day at main Campus on January 24, 2023, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Talat Nasir Pasha (S.I.) while Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir was the chief guest.

Other guests were included Chief Executive Officer Punjab Examination Commission Tariq Iqbal, Director General National Academy of Police Authority Azhar Rashid and others. In the seminar a special message was read by Dr. Charles Hopkins, Chair of Reorienting Education towards Sustainable Development, UNESCO, in which he urged world leaders to invest in education on the occasion of World Education Day.

Addressing the ceremony, Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that education is not just the name of teaching, but a process through which an individual or a nation gains self-awareness, education gives a person the awareness to live.

And it creates a sense of the goals and duties of life, through education a nation conveys its cultural, mental and intellectual heritage to future generations. He also said that education gives man the status of crown of creation, and this is the reason why the importance of education is evident everywhere from religion to the world. Islam has declared the acquisition of knowledge as a duty and on the other hand a few developed countries are ruling the entire world.

Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir said in his address that when Pakistan came into being, we got such an education system of foreigners, which was not compatible with our ground realities, due to which our country is still in the list of under develop countries.

Therefore, there is a need to promote not only quality education but an educational system that is compatible with the ground realities in our country. At the end of the ceremony, Director Division of Education Professor Dr. Muhammad Ayaz thanked the guests for their arrival. A large number of university faculty and students were present on this occasion.

Lahore, January 23, 2023 (PPI-OT):

Dear Students,

The classes of Semester Spring 2023 has commenced w.e.f. January 23, 2023. In this regard, please download your semester fee challan through your LMS account for enrolment in Spring Semester 2023.

Deadline for enrolment in Spring Semester 2023 is January 27, 2023 (without late fee); however, the students may enroll with late fee charges of Rs. 500/- (in addition to semester fee) till February 01, 2023.

Furthermore, the students may enroll with late fee charges of Rs. 1500/- (in addition to semester fee) from February 02, 2023 to February 11, 2023 with the approval of concerned Director/Principal.

Moreover, the students may enroll with late fee charges of Rs. 3000/- (in addition to semester fee) from February 12, 2023 to February 22, 2023 with the approval of concerned Director/Principal.

Thereafter, the students may enroll with late fee charges of Rs. 5000/- (in addition to semester fee) from February 23, 2023 to March 13, 2023 with the approval of concerned Director/Principal.

The students, who fail to enroll till March 13, 2023 will be considered as ceased in Spring Semester 2023.

The ceased students will have to re-enroll along-with the forthcoming session failing which they shall be considered as dropped from the rolls”

Lahore, January 18, 2023 (PPI-OT):A ground breaking ceremony of UE Business School was held at DMAS-Lower Mall Campus of University of Education, Lahore on Wednesday dated 18-01-2023. The foundation stone of the UE Business School was laid by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Nasir Pasha (S.I.). The building of UE business school will cover total area of 37,966 square ft. and 813 students will be benefited. The building to be developed at a cost of Rs. 269.774 million which will consist of class rooms, well equipped labs and other offices.

The ground breaking ceremony was presided over by the Director of the Division of Management and Administrative Science, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Tufail, while the chief guest was the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Talat Nasir Pasha (S.I.). Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that the social and political stability of any country is related to the economy.

Pakistan is facing the most economic challenges today, due to which we are not able to move forward in the race of development. The Vice-Chancellor said that the University of Education, Lahore has always realized its responsibilities and played a positive role in the development and stability of the country and today once again, with the establishment of this School, we have proven ourselves as a responsible state institution.

Thousands of students from this business school will perform the duty of national service. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, this school will provide world-class education and training to the students so that they do not feel inferior at any level. On this occasion, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Arshad, students, heads of Lahore based UE Campuses and Divisions of were also present.

Lahore, November 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):University of Education organized a ceremony to distribute certificates of appreciation to the teachers, staff and students who actively participated in the relief activities for the countrymen affected by the recent flood disasters at its Main Campus, Township, Lahore on November 29, 2022, which was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) while Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Arshad, Director of Science and Technology Dr. Alam Saeed, Principal Township Campus Prof. Dr. Rana Abrar Hussain, Director of Students Affairs Dr. Umar Saleem and a large number of teachers and students also attended the ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha (S.I.) said that although it is not a favour to anyone, but the way the teachers, staff and students of University of Education, Lahore worked to help the flood victims, it is commendable.

And today’s event is organized to pay tribute to their services and encourage them for future. He said that the University of Education not only sat here and provided financial assistance to the flood victims, but we reached the affected areas, where people were provided with all possible facilities including food, shelter and medical, for which the teachers of the university, staff, students and friends of university generously contributed financially.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated all the people who participated in the relief activities for fulfilling this national duty and awarded certificates of appreciation to each one. A total of 50 people were presented certificates of appreciation in the ceremony.

Lahore, November 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award (PMNIA) is a flagship initiative of Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) being implemented by Higher Education Commission (HEC) across the country. The PMNIA is providing an open opportunity generated for the youth from universities/ affiliated colleges/HEIs across Pakistan to propose innovative ideas for creation/launch of new startups.

It is also requested to you that universities must publish advertisement/ promotional material of PMNIA provided by the HEC on the university’s website, social media platforms and affiliated colleges etc. It is to inform you that the deadline of Prime Minister’s National Innovation Award (PMNIA) has been extended to 30th November 2022.
