National Council for Tibb visits the University of Haripur

Haripur, April 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Honourable Members of National Council for Tibb paid inspection visit to The University of Haripur today on 18-04-2022 under the kind leadership of President NCT Professor Hk. Muhammad Ahmad Saleemi along with Chairman Inspection committee Hk. Abdul Wahid Shamsi, Hk. Zulfiqar Ali Malik spokesperson NCT and Muhammad Ismail Registrar NCT.

Dr. Shahbaz Ahmad Zakki, Head Department of Public Health and Nutrition and Incharge of the bachelor program in Eastern Medicine along with his teaching faculty welcomed the delegation at University of Haripur. After healthy discussion on various aspects of the visit and starting of new program, Dr. Zakki mentioned that it is the first university in KPK where we took initiative to launch this program and admissions will be started soon after the anticipated approval from NCT and Ministry of Health, Islamabad.

Afterwards, inspection committee visited various laboratories and facilities of the department. The worthy Vice Chancellor, Professor Ayub Khan also welcomed and appreciated members of NCT for sparing time for zero visit and hoping for the early approvals. He also added that university will show full support for the establishment of department of eastern medicine to facilitate Tibb education in KPK. In the end, Vice Chancellor presented a shield to Professor Saleemi along with best wishes.

Distribution of Scholarships of Rs. 11 million in Haripur University

Haripur, April 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):According to focal person Ayaz Ahmed, on April 18, HEC / Government distributed cheques of Rs. 11 million to deserving students of the University. The ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ayub Khan, while Dean Prof. Amara Gul, Prof. Abid Farid, Registrar Riaz Muhammad and others were present on this occasion.

On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor UoH appreciated the HEC program and termed it as a milestone for the deserving and needy students to continue their higher education. In this regard, he further said that Haripur University is cooperating with the needy students from its own resources. The students who received the cheques thanked HEC and Haripur University on this occasion.

Visit of Inspector General of Prisons Mr. Khalid Abbas Khan at the University of Haripur

Haripur, April 02, 2022 (PPI-OT):Jail Superintendent Haripur, Mr. Hamid Azam Khan and Jail Superintendent Abbottabad Mr. Wasim Khan was also present in the meeting with Vice Chancellor UoH, Prof. Dr. Ayub Khan, Dean Prof. Dr. Abid Farid and Registrar Mr. Riaz Muhammad. According to details, the meeting discussed special joint projects for the education and training and welfare of inmates of Central Jail Haripur in general and in jails across the province.

The Vice Chancellor offered various educational and training services to the inmates from the Department of Psychology, Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies, Department of Education, Department of Medicine, etc, which was much appreciated by the IG and his team. Mr. Khalid Abbas Khan presented the agricultural lands in the jail for research. In this regard, it was agreed to work on a mutual memorandum between the two institutions. On this occasion, IG Prisons also planted a tree in the university.

Department of MLT organized 8th Annual Seminar of MLTAP

Haripur, March 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):8th Annual Seminar of MLTAP on “Responsibilities of Allied Health Professionals in Pandemic Diseases” in collaboration with Department of Medical Lab Technology was held on 24 March, 2022 at The University of Haripur.

More than 200 participants from all over Pakistan attended the event. In opening remarks Chairman, MLT Dr. Sadiq Noor Khan, welcomed all the guests, MLTAP core committee, faculty and Students. Chairman briefed about the achievements of department and launching of research degree program. The worthy Vice Chancellor, The University of Haripur was chief guest of this event.

Department of Microbiology Organized Merit Certificate Distribution Ceremony for Position Holders

Haripur, March 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):Department of Microbiology of The University of Haripur organized merit certificate distribution ceremony for position holders of all classes of BS and M.Phil on 17th March 2022. Merit certificates were distributed among students securing first, second and third positions in Fall 2021 exams, as a token of appreciation. Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali addressed the students and discussed the role of ethics and values in our daily life.

The chief guest Prof. Dr. Ayub Khan, vice chancellor of The University of Haripur distributed certificates among the position holders and congratulated the successful students. Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali offered bouquet of flowers to worthy chief guest.

Department of Microbiology organized a seminar on Quran, Ethics and Character Building

Haripur, March 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):Department of Microbiology of The University of Haripur organized a seminar on “Quran, Ethics and Character Building” on Thursday 17th March 2022. Students of different classes prepared lessons from Holy Quran and presented before fellow colleagues. Worthy vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Ayub Khan addressed the audience as a chief guest. The event was attended by a high number of students from various departments.
