SUSI 2024 Summer Exchange Program in the U.S. Invites Global Students

Islamabad, 16 Oct 2023: The Fully Funded SUSI 2024 Summer Exchange Program in the United States of America has announced its open call for applications. A press release from COMSATS University Islamabad revealed that this six-week leadership program, sponsored by the U.S Department of State, will be held at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, presenting an invaluable opportunity for young students worldwide.

Both male and female candidates can apply for the SUSI 2024 Student Leadership Program, without any prerequisites like IELTS/TOEFL scores, a certain CGPA, a passport at the time of application, or previous work experience. This program is particularly tailored for students with a pronounced interest in public policy. However, students from various disciplines such as Politics, Law, Engineering, Medicine, Science, Biotechnology, Business, Economics, International Development, Management, and more can apply.

The benefits offered by the SUSI program are vast. Participants will receive round airfare travel economy class tickets, visa fee coverage, and airport expenses of between $150-$175. Additionally, they will be provided with a monthly stipend of up to $1500 for the duration of the program. Other provisions include daily meals, full accommodation, all in-country field trips, a brand new iPad, and a mobile phone for communication purposes. A highlight for many, participants will also embark on a two-week tour visiting prominent cities like New York City, Boston, Charlottesville, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

As for eligibility, students currently enrolled in their 4-year Bachelor Degree between their 2nd to 7th semesters can apply. Those pursuing a 5-year medical degree and are between their 2nd to 9th semesters are also welcome to apply. Specific guidelines stipulate that students in a two-year bachelor’s program can apply if they’re not in their final year. Similarly, those in a four-year bachelor program or a five-year medical or MBBS program must have at least one semester of study remaining to be considered. Apart from academic criteria, candidates must be fluent in English, aged between 18 to 25, demonstrate leadership qualities, showcase keen interest in learning about the United States, and have shown commitment to community and extracurricular university activities.
