Rawalpindi: In a poignant theatrical presentation that marked Youm e Istehsal, the Punjab Council of the Arts Rawalpindi unveiled the stage drama “Zanjeer,” which underscores the ongoing struggle for self-determination in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The narrative, set against the backdrop of six years of military siege, resonated with audiences by highlighting the complex political and social issues faced by the Kashmiri people.
Crafted by playwright Kashif Raza, the script intricately weaves the historical and current challenges in Kashmir into a cohesive story. Under the direction of Anjum Abbasi, the drama vividly portrays the deprivation and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, offering a powerful visual experience that captivated viewers.
