PU Faculty Member Engages in Climate Tech Summer School in Switzerland

LAHORE: A faculty member from Punjab University, Hafiz Fawad Ali, recently participated in the Climate Tech Summer School 2026, titled "Innovations for Urban Climate Adaptation and Protection," at the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. The program gathered individuals from varied academic and professional backgrounds to explore solutions for climate-resilient urban environments.

According to University of the Punjab, the summer school emphasized an interdisciplinary approach, merging urban climate adaptation and protection with innovation and entrepreneurship. Hafiz Fawad Ali engaged in collaborative activities to address urban climate challenges and gained exposure to international academics, experts, and startups. The program awarded him 6 ECTS credits upon completion, funded by EELISA. This experience underscored the significance of international academic exchanges in tackling global challenges like climate change and sustainable development.
