Saira Umar Assumes Role as Secretary of Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal in Punjab

Lahore: Secretary Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab, Ms. Saira Umar, has officially assumed her new role and conducted a comprehensive review of the department's operations. According to Social Welfare Department, Ms. Umar was briefed on the administrative framework, ongoing development initiatives, and key programs such as the Himmat Card and Dhee Rani Program. Additionally, she received updates on the distribution of wheelchairs and assistive devices for individuals with disabilities and the Chief Minister Punjab's special welfare programs.

The briefing covered the activities of related bodies, including the Directorate General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal, the Punjab Bait-ul-Maal Council, the Council on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Chief Minister Complaint Cell, the Punjab Women Protection Authority, and the Punjab Welfare Trust for Disabled. The meetings were attended by Additional Secretary Ms. Amina Munir, Director General Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, and other senior officials.
