Bahawalpur, December 13, 2022 (PPI-OT):Social and political leader Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq Khan has said that Islamia University Bahawalpur has created vast opportunities for higher education for the local youth. Islamia University Bahawalpur has introduced such subjects which are in tune with the market needs.
These views were expressed by Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq Khan, Director Shamim Group of Industries, during a meeting with the Vice Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur, Engineer Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob. He said that the growing links of local industrial and commercial institutions with Islamia University Bahawalpur are very welcome.
These linkages will be of mutual benefit to the university and industrial institutions. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Engineer Professor Dr. Athar Mehboob informed Rana Muhammad Tariq Khan about the ongoing teaching, research and development activities in the university.
Rana Muhammad Tariq Khan expressed keen interest in the maize and soybean intercropping project and said That Islamia University Bahawalpur’s joint venture with Chinese universities to attract local farmers to soybean cultivation is very welcome which can save valuable foreign exchange by reducing the import of edible oil along with the poultry feed industry in the country. The Vice-Chancellor said that the scientists of Islamia University Bahawalpur are ready to offer cooperation and expertise at all levels to the local oil industry and farmers in this regard.
