Lahore, The Punjab University School of Economics recently held its Alumni Meet – 2023, celebrated with a gathering of past and present students along with faculty members. The event, held on Sunday at Falettie’s Hotel Lahore, was graced by the university’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, and other notable faculty members.
According to University of Punjab, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, in his address, highlighted the global impact of the university’s alumni, particularly those from the School of Economics. He emphasized the university’s commitment to ensuring no student discontinues education due to financial constraints and acknowledged the university’s longstanding tradition of serving the educational needs of the region for 141 years. The event also celebrated the Department of Economics’ achievement of being ranked in the QS ranking for the first time under the leadership of Dr Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhry. The meet concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to distinguished guests, fostering a spirit of continued association and contribution among the alumni.
