Punjab University Hosts Seminar on National Unity Against Corruption

Lahore: The Institute of Social and Cultural Studies and the Directorate of Student Affairs at the University of Punjab, in partnership with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, convened a seminar titled “Uniting the Nation Against Corruption” on Wednesday. The event, held at the university’s auditorium, aimed to educate and engage students on the pervasive issue of corruption in Pakistan.

According to University of the Punjab, the seminar featured Ms. Attiya Azmat, Additional Director of NAB Lahore, as the keynote speaker. Ms. Azmat provided a comprehensive discourse on the nature and history of corruption in the country, emphasizing the multifaceted roles and objectives of NAB in combating these issues. Prof. Dr. Rubeena Zakar, Director of the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, opened the seminar by welcoming guests and highlighting NAB Lahore’s initiative in organizing educational events.

Dr. Muhammad Ali Kalasra, Director of Student Affairs at the university, praised the efforts of student societies, particularly the Criminology Student Association and WPHP Society, for their roles in the seminar’s organization. He closed the session with a vote of thanks, after which an awareness walk was held outside the institute to further promote the message of unity against corruption.
