Punjab Arts Council Hosts Photographic Exhibition and Protest Walk on Youm-e-Istehsal

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Arts Council (PAC) organized a photographic exhibition and protest walk to observe Youm-e-Istehsal, commemorating the anniversary of the revocation of special status for Kashmir under Articles 370 and 35A. The event featured strong representations from political and artistic leaders and highlighted the ongoing tensions and humanitarian concerns in occupied Kashmir.

According to Punjab Arts Council, the event drew significant attendance, including key political figures such as Ms. Mushal Malik, Ms. Tahira Aurangzaib of the National Assembly, and Ms. Shazia Rizwan of the Punjab Assembly. Speakers at the event condemned the actions of the Indian government and emphasized the need for international intervention to halt the alleged atrocities in Kashmir. The chief guest, Ms. Mushal Malik, criticized the Indian Prime Minister’s policies, claiming they posed a severe threat to Kashmiri identity and rights.

The exhibition aimed to raise awareness of the situation in Kashmir through vivid photographic displays and speeches that narrated the plight of the Kashmiri people under current conditions. It culminated in a protest rally from Murree Road to the Arts Council, with participants bearing placards calling for Kashmir’s freedom and denouncing Indian policies. The rally and exhibition underscored the community’s solidarity with the Kashmiri struggle for autonomy and justice.
