Rawalpindi: The Punjab Arts Council, in collaboration with the Nazariya Pakistan Trust Lahore, held a photo exhibition and book sale at Divisional Public School Rawalpindi, featuring a documentary on Pakistan’s independence movement.
According to Punjab Arts Council, the event was inaugurated by Ms. Zonaira Aftab, Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Rawalpindi, and Muhammad Shakoor, Deputy Director of the Council. The exhibition aimed to educate the younger generation about Pakistan’s history and the significant efforts that led to its establishment. Ms. Zonaira Aftab emphasized the importance of understanding the country’s formation and the pivotal figures involved in its creation.
The exhibition showcased rare photographs from the Pakistan Movement, along with a collection of books providing detailed insights into the historical events. Deputy Director Shakoor highlighted that the exhibition serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by ancestors, asserting that freedom was achieved through significant hardship and perseverance.
The event drew attention from the faculty and students of Divisional Public School and College Rawalpindi, including Madam Arjumand Asif, Madam Farhat, Madam Aram Ansar, and Madam Nazia Parveen. Professor Zahid Javed from Nazariya Pakistan Trust also attended, along with numerous female students who expressed high appreciation for the educational display and documentary.
