Rawalpindi: Devotional ceremonies and processions marked the 10th anniversary of Isran-e-Karbala across Pakistan, reflecting on the enduring legacy of Imam Hussain (AS) and the martyrdom of Hazrat Sakina bint al-Hussain.
According to Tehreek Nafaze Fiqhe Jafariya, the commemorative events have seen widespread participation with processions and gatherings where scholars and preachers exalted the virtues of the Prophet Muhammad’s family. During a session at Bait-ul-Fatima, hosted by photojournalist Irfan Haider, Al-Hajj Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi highlighted Imam Hussain (AS) as a beacon of growth and guidance for humanity. He stressed the significance of Imam Hussain’s sacrifice as a model for upholding religious values and freedom.
The gatherings also paid tribute to Shaheedah Zindan Hazrat Sakina, remembering her as a symbol of resistance and dignity for oppressed communities worldwide. The Majlis-e-Azaman, held at Darbar Baba Shaheed in Kabil Gujar Khan, featured various dhikrs, with speakers like Allama Fakhr Abbas Abidi and Zakir Syed Farukh Abbas Bukhari elaborating on the themes of sacrifice and piety.
These events not only commemorate historical figures but also serve to reinforce the contemporary relevance of their teachings in advocating for rights and justice within the Muslim world.
