Bahawalpur: Mian Attique Ahmad, Director of the Punjab Council of the Arts, Bahawalpur Division, has engaged in discussions with Maqbool Anjum, Area Coordinator of the Circle Women Association, focusing on joint initiatives to enhance the local art and craft community through digital literacy and cultural entrepreneurship.
According to Punjab Arts Council, the recent meeting between the two leaders centered on setting up collaborative events and training programs that will benefit 160 individuals. The training will cover areas such as cultural entrepreneurship, the art of storytelling, indigenous food, and cultural tourism. This initiative is designed to strengthen community ties and enhance the skills of local artisans and entrepreneurs in the digital age.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is scheduled to be signed on September 5th, 2024, which will formalize this partnership. The upcoming MoU signing ceremony marks a significant step towards actualizing the goals set by both organizations to empower the local community by fostering skills and knowledge that align with modern demands in cultural expression and tourism.
