Punjab Arts Council and C2D Sign Landmark Cultural Cooperation Agreement

RAWALPINDI: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in a ceremony marking the collaboration between the Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi, the Information and Culture Department of the Government of Punjab, and the Center for Culture and Development (C2D)/Gandhara Resource Center Pakistan.

The agreement aims to foster cooperation in promoting culture, fine arts, research, training, and public awareness. The MoU focuses on highlighting Pakistan’s cultural heritage, ensuring artists’ welfare, and strengthening cultural ties both locally and internationally.

The signing ceremony was attended by key figures, including Punjab Arts Council Rawalpindi Division Director Sajjad Hussain, Deputy Director Muhammad Shakoor, Assistant Directors Sarfaraz Khan and Waqar Ali, as well as Gandhara Resource Center Pakistan Director Sarah Mahmood and Program Coordinator Riaz Ahmed. Representatives from both institutions hailed the agreement as a significant step towards future joint activities.

Planned initiatives under the MoU include organizing workshops, seminars, cultural fairs, and art exhibitions. These activities aim to leverage the professional expertise and resources of both institutions to promote shared interests.

The collaboration underscores a commitment to advancing art, culture, and development in Pakistan.
