Karachi: The solo art exhibition “ECHOES A Solo Show” by Lahore-based artist Shazia Nadeem opened at the Art Lane Gallery, Port Grand, Karachi, drawing interest from art enthusiasts and collectors. The event was inaugurated by Mohammad Ahmed Shah, President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, who commended Nadeem’s work and the venue’s contribution to the arts.
The exhibition, running until May 7, features Nadeem’s vibrant portrayals of feminine beauty and natural landscapes. Shahid Feroz, Chairman Port Grand, and M. Fareed Alam were also present at the opening, highlighting the significance of the event in promoting cultural endeavors.
In his remarks, Shah acknowledged Nadeem’s distinct artistic voice, noting the exhibition as a refreshing display of colors and themes. He encouraged art collectors to engage with and document Nadeem’s work, which he described as evocative of familial memories.
Chairman Port Grand, Shahid Feroz, expressed his satisfaction with hosting the exhibition, hoping for Nadeem’s continued creative output. Nadeem herself described her paintings as a transformation of memories into color, inspired by the natural beauty of starlit nights.
The exhibition represents a significant milestone for Nadeem, marking her first solo show in Karachi and offering visitors a unique glimpse into her creative process.
